I started
rock n' roll classes at the end of May and was soon hooked that I now do 2
classes every week Jean is such a good teacher and easy to learn from, he makes each and every class fun and interesting. He plays a great variety of tunes to suit the different routines we learn and manages to dance with all ladies in turn, even whilst teaching the class. He is very encouraging and supportive which is why I never like to miss a class. The people at our class are ALL really nice and I've found I've got a whole new circle of friends now.
The monthly dances are absolutely amazing! I went to the first one not long after starting classes expecting just to spectator but was soon up and dancing with people I knew and some I didn't. Now once the monthly dance is over it seems far too long before the next one!
Why not give it a try? - maybe you'll be hooked too!

Jean's Rock 'n' Roll classes are wonderful!
The class is friendly and welcoming.
You might arrive tired after work, but his choice of music and light-hearted style are uplifting and energising.
He is a fun teacher, who has plenty of patience for the absolute beginner, and yet organises the classes to ensure the more experienced in his group can learn something new each week too.
I've gained lots of confidence in the three months I've studied with this teacher. And I'm hooked!

Rock and Roll
Last Monday evening I found myself walking around the back of Waterloo to find out what London Rock and Roll scene is like.
The instructions “turn right at the corner of the book shop, walk toward the red telephone cabin. You will find a wooden door, walk though you are there” made it seem as if we were about to walk through some sort of time warp!
t wasn’t quite an American diner but the music soon set the scene and we were ready to Rock and Roll!! Having never done rock and roll before we were a little apprehensive but the beginners classes were great and really easy to follow. Everyone rotates round the group so it doesn’t matter if you don’t bring a partner.
After an inspiring 40 minute lesson we had learnt some basic turns and steps, enough to enjoy the free style session at the end of the class.
So if you’re looking for a new hobby, and amaze your mates on your next night out check out the website

Hi everybody, I'm Dave from Luton.
During the 50's and early 60's, as a young teenager, I used to listen to a lot of Rock 'n' roll on the radio and on television. I was into Bill Haley first of all, then Elvis Presley, Little Richard, Roy Orbison, Jerry Lee Lewis and the rest.
We'd hear their music in the coffee bars too - the girls and the blokes who were a bit older than me would pump money into the juke box. They looked different, they were outrageous - rebels. I was fascinated.
I've been interested in rock 'n' roll ever since. About 2 years ago I began listening to dell Richardson's Good Rocking Tonight on satellite radio on Sunday evenings. One night I won a ticket to Jean and Odette's Paris Rock Club.
So I got dressed up on a Saturday night and when I got down there I couldn't believe how friendly it was. Everyone was friendly. A lady came up to me, asked my name and then invited me to dance. I said yes, please! So now I come to every club night, weather permitting. I like the warmth of the place.
It's like a rock 'n' roll family where no-one thinks they're better than anyone else.
I think it's brilliant, well worth the long trek home to Luton.
Long live rock 'n' roll, Jean and Odette and everybody down at the club.
